digital slr rebel Class room with some limitations

I buy the camera from Panasonic FZ28 superzoom camera broke and had to return because of it.
I bought the camera with lens 18-200 mm. As he had done before, almost 1 year with the image of Panasonic, I could compare well.
Invincible + class Bilsstabilistor is the Canon lens. Tele 200 MMM 1 / 15 second hand is pixelscharf possible.
+ The high ISO capability of the Canon is also of class. ISO 1600 images are good. Here, the CF can not go to 28
+ Noise at high ISO settings outside, I was very surprised that the picture quality of Panasonic is no worse than the Canon, especially if your goal is fully transformed the barrel. Very bad and range of Canon lenses of 135 mm.
+ HD video is recorded at a speed of 20 frames per second. This is not really a restriction. With a format converter, you can increase the frame rate of 30 frames per second. The images run the team. Given that Canon chooses a low compression ratio, which is without sacrificing quality.
+ Automated programs Panasonic performs better than the Canon. My wife, who prefer to simply press the shutter allows Biler worse, as the face of the Canon too weak and therefore unusable. I have some photos that the petals in the foreground, Sharp, 5 children are behind the flower, however, clear. The fully automatic mode, the Panasonic is automatically selected scene modes, the better.
+ Live View Mode, of course, the Panasonic can not be used for automatic programming of Canon. It should be noted here must be done manually by pressing a button. For me, as a "fan" of the applicant is a good thing. My wife prefers to see on the monitor that is not appropriate because the snapshot manual focus.
+ Image and sound quality of these videos are even better in the Canon. However, even here, deutlch Panasonic bedienerfeundlicher. With the knowledge that I have a Canon Tastdruck extra sharpness. Automatic tracking of work and not. In reality, it must be cut manually.

The camera excellent, I give 4 stars. Since the utility is not the level of a Superzoomkamera much cheaper, I subtract a star. A digital SLR for the consumer market should, in my opinion, also has an automatic matching.

digital slr reble Another great offer Rebel

I am a semi professional photographer who draws with organizations usually much more expensive. Occasionally, however, carry a small camera with me for some reason, and this. Moreover, as many professionals and semi-professionals must have a body APS-C to use the cult followed Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens that works only for APS-C boids as rebels.

The rebels were, in fact, only go to meet these needs for many years. A large number of semi-professionals and professionals criticize the performance of these cameras and / or perceived weakness of ergonomics, size and characteristics. This is a camera body, $ 1000? No, it is not. This is a camera body, $ 2600? No, it is not. This is a $ 6999.99 camera body? No, it is not. I'm hammering this point home, because some people insist on comparing between camera rebel in this way. The comparisons are very good and the price is taken into account, left the equation of price, then yes, this device will probably lose a body whose cost is big.

Some of my random thoughts on this camera, I will not cover everything, because others have done very well. I will touch on issues important to me, a semi pro photographer, who sometimes need to travel light.

ISO performance (which is more important to me in any camera at any price):

ISO 100: No
ISO 400: Great (and professionally competent), with the exception of the more desirable that the noise in the shadows darker. Even RAW and post-treatment care is likely to leave the shadows alone and not take it too. I am a little 'uncomfortable here for the sake of being thorough examination, is not terrible by any means, or "ice-breaking" noise in the shadows.
ISO 800: for safer and better than expected, but the sound is certainly evident at this level - or rather the effects of noise reduction are visible - and in reducing the noise of the camera is aggressive enough that some detail and sharpness is lost because of the sound clean. Sure, but better used in smaller sizes (8x10 or less) in printing and publication.
ISO 1600: For me, it is beyond dispute. I have a higher level than the average consumer as a semi-pro, so keep in mind. I want to use this parameter only in a situation so serious that ISO 800 would be completely useless. Noise reduction at ISO 800 is too aggressive, but leads to the elimination of a loud noise. It seems that not even bother to ISO 1600. The noise is all in ISO 1600. I have not used a camera that I remember was a big difference between ISO 800 and ISO 1600. So the bottom line, in my humble opinion, you should stay away and use only in a pinch. I can not see anything above 4x6 print with this configuration. If this is your bag, then you probably will be fine.

I mean my views on the management of ISO that I purchased this camera for performance at high ISO sensitivity. If you decided to do it twice, I think. Is better than the Rebel, Rebel XT and Rebel XTi? Of course. You do well at high ISO? Not necessarily.

I do the vast majority of my shooting between ISO 100 and 400. I use fast lenses and usually run during the day. This is particularly true for the moment I am using this device. I'm not going to like this camera for high ISO performance. Why I take the 5D. I'm going with this camera for those exceptional moments when the 5D is not the best for your situation. This device offers exceptional image quality at ISO 100-400 and a useful ISO 800. For me, this is what counts. a 12MP DSLR with exceptional image quality for just over $ 500 is what it is. He throws a Canon lens of Nice (better lens) at a professional level and have acceptable results. I would not use this device, if these results are not available.

The only way the above 5D outshoot that is (in relation to picture quality) is that if you make enlargements or shooting above 400 ISO. If you use the proper glass, RAW and manual ISO setting (which is what I do) this is an impressive camera. I do not care if someone says the opposite, o. I do not - not - argue that point because I saw the results.

Now, if you have never used a rebel, I say that is much smaller than the 20D, 30D, 40D, organs, etc., which may or may not be used. It 'much more difficult for me to keep a good grip on the body, for example, the 40D. Again, this is fine with me, because I do not buy this for ergonomics. Once again, I'll buy it for consideration. Combined behavior of prices is how this happens in a place of courage. I have to keep repeating that, because for some reason, people have always felt the need to compare the cameras that are unmatched. If you are looking for the best performance in a DSLR with the best price, it is my firm opinion that is the camera.

Finally, I would say that if we speak strictly of image quality and nothing else, such as ergonomics and construction, in my humble opinion, the IQ of this device is good or better than the 40D slightly overestimated. Given the huge difference in the price of two - almost 100% in different situations - unless you're a fan of ergonomics, I think the decision is not rocket science. Buy this and save $ 500 for a glass better, or just save the $ 500 for no other reason than saving $ 500 is great. What I'm waiting for the road is there to compare the IQ IQ of 50D. Again, not less than the 40D, if we speak strictly on IQ. I returned the 40D last year after using it for 2 weeks. Simply not worth the price. The 40D to me is simply a Rebel XTi (XTi, XSi not), with better ergonomics.

digital slr rebel Excellent quality and price

I waited months to discuss the possibility of going ahead and buy the Canon 40D or take over the new XSi. I'm glad I waited for the XSI. The quality is excellent! I bought the XSi with 18-55mm IS lens. The lens is a nice walk around lens, but also purchased the 50mm 1.8 and Sigma 70-300mm zoom. I tend to leave the Sigma more than anything else.

The XSI has almost all the features of 40D at a fraction of the cost. Their function are clearly far superior to the XTi and totally worth it to upgrade. The 3-inch LCD screen is ideal for watching the live action or review. The buttons are placed high and is very easy to navigate.

The body itself is not as heavy as the 40D, but does not feel as cheap and low. It 'a big step up from my Canon S3 IS, but I still like this camera and all they have too much power.

I used the camera often and places and in all. Of course, like most, is doing very well from the light. Has exceeded my expectations in a dimly lit interior. Even when he had to change the ISO to 800 or 1600, made to perfection and there is very little noise evident. With my old car, have never been able to use high ISO settings, because they were too noisy to resolve with post-treatment. With the XSi, there is little or no workstation required processing in high ISO shots. It 'wonderful for low light conditions, when you do not want the deer in the headlights look flash!

Overall, the XSi was totally worth waiting and saving. The XSi is a fraction of the cost of the 40D and has most if not all the positive aspects of the 40D. Definitely recommend anyone debate between the two to go ahead and stick with the XSi body and your money for good lenses.

digital slr rebel expectations were exceeded.

To buy my first digital SLR camera, but I come with a solid base of analog photography (medium and) large format photography.

The XSI is nice. E 'lighter weight, excellent image quality and fast operation. I could not much more (and perhaps the body is like Sony, Pentax ask, and Olympus) cameras.

I laugh at what they call "entry level" DSLR. The superior quality of the images of $ 1300 Canon 40D semi-professional model. The more expensive models include features that plants tend to be small. I believe that many "professional" image with a 4x5 "camera. 1 I-frame-per-15 minutes with a large format camera. Yet people seem XSI 3, 5 frames per second which makes entry-level?" The photographers need, nothing more. Yes, if you are a professional wildlife photographer and sportsman, you want to upgrade. If not, then this device is, you must meet your needs and more.

Review Canon Digital Rebel XSi

I got my XSi from April 28, two days before he left, oversees a grade 8 trip to Washington DC. I have the camera for the first time in Washington, and took some being used for the controls, but I had a couple of very good shots. I have the goal of the kit is included with the camera and my 70-300mm zoom, and my 24-70mm lens (two lenses Canon) and I have some great pictures.

So I have this camera and lenses with me in a week's trip to Orlando, Florida, and I shot about 1200 photos, and I had many good shots. The colors are excellent and a great transition from the first generation Digital Rebel that I used before.

I bought the car a week ago to replace my Digital Rebel 5 years. The differences. It is easier and much faster. The speed with regard to implementation and every shot and auto-focus is amazing. Died during the greater part. This camera is too easy, especially for those accustomed to the original Digital Rebel. I was impressed very satisfied with the goal of the kit, although it has received rave reviews. I always play with him. My Canon 28-105 sharper images that the goal of the kit.

Overall, this camera is definitely a step forward for Digital Rebel elderly. The XTi, the 3-inch LCD and live preview of the comparison is a substantial improvement. Spot metering is a great advantage. I am very pleased with this camera.

Canon Digital Camera (SLR): Rebel XTi

SLR cameras are great ... Just take perhaps a base class, so you can understand how the aperture and shutter speed are controlled, but id say its more fun taking pictures with an SLR than with a point and shoot ..

Nikon D60 Digital SLR Camera Black Gold Special Edition

I know that the D60 takes decent enough, but a peak value (in the world of photography), most of the time, the camera later, the better. It aa330 is right is new, have never been all Sony cameras, but id imagine that, at least honest enough for every hobby-photographers.

D40 is better than that: P
With really bad, both D40 and D60
No built-in AF motor - a very bad this. Lots of good old lenses work habits, and while I prefer to use MF is often a lack of AF is still a major inconvenience for someone new to photography.
