We, wedding photographers, who have supported us for years as a camera system with the best. The purpose of this document is to provide information about these types of camera systems and the possible impact on your wedding she sharesPhotographer decision.

Medium Format

For medium format for many years was the best option overall. A medium format camera uses film cameras 3 times the size of a 35mm negatives - producing images with high resolution and beautiful extensions, however, and processing costs, which are very expensive.

Primary advantages: negative resolution. Previously, the fact is that a person who is a medium format camera was almost in itself a sign thatThey were a real "wedding photographer" (because the cost of the system).

Disadvantages: the use (the costs of the film are so high that some books on wedding photography to promote medium-format photographers, photographs) are limits, the film may be lost or damaged during processing, attention, and operate slowly.

35 millimeters

For many years 35 millimeters has a bad reputation for poor quality has been improved - especially in comparison to medium format. However, the last 10 years, the quality of 35mm film is significantly improved. Now is a format commonly used by professional photographers, in particular with the style of photojournalism and take almost a thousand or more images at a wedding.

Benefits from primary school to 35 mm: fast (easy, rapid fire and play), a large improvement in the quality of the extensions (many people find it difficult to distinguish between a 35mm and medium format 8x10 differExtension).

Disadvantages: film processing is expensive, and the film could be damaged or lost during treatment .. Many photographers have now scanned negative film, so that the files have become a digital file.

Digital

Professional digital wedding photography is a viable option, since around 2000 (although it can be said at this point). The quality of digital cameras is nowa point where many photographers feel the quality rivals or even beats, negatives or medium format. In fact, many photographers, digital wedding film medium format.

The main advantages of digital technology: instant review of images on the back of the unit at no cost for film and processing (although the savings required by the calculation of overtime to process the digital images offset); images more control (eg a slight rotation or cropping an imageis fast and easy with digital pressure, but requires custom) of 35 mm or medium format.

Disadvantages: the rapid technological progress over time and the cameras are out of date (although this does not necessarily affect you) as a consumer. Memory cards can easily be lost, the role of the film when you use the wedding photographer a digital camera (ask them how to make the photos are safe again) in the study.

Summary:

WhateverI was told - all three formats can be a valid approach to wedding photography. Some may be more expensive than others but all can get good results. Many photographers use multiple camera systems. Some people use the medium format for Formals, but 35mm for the reception and coverage of the ceremony. Others will be shot mostly digital, but could bring film cameras as backup hardware.

My advice to future brides: before signing a contract withPhotographer, ask to see added to the sample expanded with the same equipment to be used at your wedding. If quality and color images, really does not matter whether 35mm or digital medium format camera was used to save the image!

Digital slr rebel - Canon Digital Rebel XT vs XTi or XSi Upgrade

Now that Canon is the newest addition, is always very popular line of Digital Rebel XSi release surprised many current Rebel XT or XTi owners probably for the update. The short answer is. . . no! Not really worth. Sure, Live View, a larger LCD screen and faster FPS seems tempting, but it's worth it? What is really here for you? More bells and whistles, or better pictures? Personally, if I plan to updatesomething essential. Anything I can do better pictures and improve my skills as a photographer. Let me clarify.

All the Canon Digital Rebel is actually the entry-level digital SLR cameras. This includes the XT, XTi, and XSI. Shoot camera does not understand me, I am really very ill, and provide an ideal bridge for those who spend a children's game of simple world of point and want to see the photo beautifully made all around --the quality of SLR photography has. Canon probably did a better job of filling this gap. Better than any other manufacturer of equipment, including Nikon, Olympus and Sony. My point is that if you really want to go to a better DSLR, then raise your sights a bit 'over and look at the Canon EOS 30D and Canon EOS 40D. It is not only a challenge, improve your photos, but also to produce images much better.

Skip a line in the modelCanon chain of command, you will receive some additional benefits. A horse of a 30D or 40D camera offers a full-body metal. Metal bodies are made of plastic much more impact-resistant, durable and is marked on the line for Digital Rebel. The camera shares delicate and sensitive internal survive longer surrounded by a metal envelope. Also, you get better performance ISO, metering and picture control. Try to remember also that more megapixels do not necessarilyto make a better quality camera. Especially if the most 5MP.

Another advantage for the Canon 30D and 40D models, is that most accessories work with the 30D and 40D, which also work with cameras further the range of models like the Canon 5D. Rebel accessories are generally less. In view of eternal misery "upgradeitis" that the cameras there are many fans that can save a lot of money for the next update. Of course there is no need to save, you canCurrent always just a really nice new lens to go with this camera for the update;)

Travel and Scenic Photography 101

If you drive through the mountains somewhere, and you notice a car parked half off the road and some guy leaning to the left to avoid a branch with his Rebel 2000 camera in the act of concentration that you have found me. I'm doing this because for me it is a journey not respond if I had that beauty for posterity. I want to do some of the techniques, the shares of landscape photography, such a wonderful art form - simple, but elegant.

First of all, equipment. Much as the cheapoCamera Disposable nod, Get Real These cameras have fisheye lenses which I call "spam" lenses. They pack all with equal blurriness and boredom. Good photos are sharp, unless Blur for artistic effect. Sharp comes from an adjustable lens. There may be a fixed or a zoom lens, but it must focus specially for each picture. Targets set are limiting for scenic pictures, where the guest might need to move over long distances under. Imagine a fixed lens on WashingtonMonument, where a half block away! Enlarge my voice, though often not as wide open, which have their skills in low-light situations boundaries.

In practical terms, an SLR is the best ever. They are lightweight and can be used with lenses of high quality. Film SLRs typically less expensive, but the boundaries of cinema, which means that they must develop them, and so on. Digital SLRs are very expensive, so for a small budget, norgo with a film SLR or a high quality basic digital camera. With digital, resolution is also a crucial factor in seeking information before buying.

OK, we have the camera, emotions are the waves, and that is great, but not too big! Sometimes I have a job, it's nice to discover that I shot like a madman, only to be disappointed by the images. What happened? Emotions. If there is a place where there are sounds, aromas and breezes as well asVisuals from the spot. Needless to say, you can not photograph all of these elements, the only visually. When overwhelmed by the spectacle of a scenic hotspot, we are often overwhelmed by all these elements.

So what? Look through the camera. The viewfinder are not (usually). Try to see what you're searching for the final image. Most people superficially to photograph in the hope that somehow the shot will be great. If you're wondering how the pictures came out when you arethe way to the pharmacy to do that, you've done something wrong. At the moment the image, you should know exactly what you get. (Of course with digital, which is not a joke!).

Now I was a bit 'wrong to say that you can not grasp all the elements of a scene. You can notice them. For starters, motion. Yes, even in a still image, there is no movement. Something has happened before, during and after your picture. In one scene, mountain scenery, you can find somethingProof that when you move, if it is a branch of a tree, which is floating in the wind or a river through the valley below. These add a sense of movement.

Then there is the "rule of thirds." When you place the main subject of the picture smack-dab in the middle, is static and boring. Given that one third of the road on both sides, and the movement involves. Put the horizon in a landscape photography third of the way up or down, not in the middle.

Remember, if a person seesTo go to a picture, their eyes. You want your picture frame that the movement will help. If you have some lines on stage as a horizon, cloud formation, path through the woods, etc., used to find interesting, and the rule of thirds to draw the eye of the beholder into the picture.

Avoid "summit syndrome." You reach the summit of Mount Washington and shoot the majestic view. Great. The images come ... boring! How? Without prospects. Big prospects are flat unless you have aForeground object, like a stone or a tree to give their perspectives. Then the eye really grasps how big this scene. People enjoy the view is a real winner, because the viewer can identify with their emotions, so that the image real impact.

Cheese! Yes, you have a family to take pictures. Is required. But if you do this, make sure to show them the location of the photo. Otherwise, you could also do it in the driveway. Context of the scene in relation to landmarks such asPart of the image. Find a way, as the story in pictures, as they say it will soon be climbing on the rocks of the waterfall.

Finally, each element of the framework that suggests more than the visual sense, is remarkable. Actor headshots for example, a story on the topic. You can almost hear them saying their next lines. When you photograph a garden, the viewer can experience the fragrance of flowers. The road tour, to have an accordion player in a corner, you canFriends wonder whistling "Dixie."

In summary, while traveling, taking photographs to record the experience so satisfying. Use motion, perspective, say, sensory, storytelling and so forth to bring your photos to life. Oh, and of course say that your work easily and places! See you at the overlook!

camera digital slr body sale nikon usa d90

Create a digital photo album and get the most out of your July 4th photos

The smoke is cleared and daylight July 5 is the time to clean up after the July 4 bash big wait - how. Why not put all the scare spent fireworks in the trash for an hour of fun and have a digital photo album?

After all, the best time to look at all the pictures we took the 4th Place is now. Of course, you can read this, even after the 4th, and if so, then it really is time to get your photos into a digital image ofalbum!

It 'really very simple. The first step is to get your photos onto a photo-sharing site. A search that allows you to upload hundreds at a time, without having to download special software. Some sites also have an auto-fill function that has created your album, how to upload images automatically.

If you create your own album, that's fine because it is very easy to death. Once you have uploaded your photos, take a moment to go through them online. If there are some which are not easy, then go ahead and delete them. Thus the organization of your digital photo album is a bit 'easier.

So if you have decided on our line-up of photos, you can think of the format and layout of your digital photo album.

First select a size, style (Windows) on the lid or without windows, and roof materials. Do not worry about the number of pages at the moment. It 'just the pages of your digital photo album, addas you create.

Start placing the photos in the layout. You can change the layout from page to page, as you go along. Even when you're done, you can go back and change the layout or pictures, if you like.

How to create your digital photo album, you can build a couple of things to consider: Do you want a theme, with the exception of the 4th July? Maybe you can expand to a special relationship, which are part of, or perhaps the most beautiful pictures of fireworks andwants to build a theme around them.

If you do not want to have a particular theme that is fine too. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a digital photo album that has just all your favorite July 4 images in it.

If you do run out of space, you should add the pages. Usually it is very convenient to do so, and you'll be glad to have the extra space when you see the printed results.

What is the most rewarding part of the entire process of building a digital photoAlbum. Occasionally, however, carry a small camera with me for some reason, and this. Moreover, as many professionals and semi-professionals must have a body APS-C to use the cult followed Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens that works only for APS-C boids as rebels.

The rebels were, in fact, only go to meet these needs for many years. A large number of semi-professionals and professionals criticize the performance of these cameras and / or perceived weakness of ergonomics, size and characteristics. This is a camera body, $ 1000? No, it is not. This is a camera body, $ 2600? No, it is not. This is a $ 6999.99 camera body? No, it is not. I'm hammering this point home, because some people insist on comparing between camera rebel in this way. The comparisons are very good and the price is taken into account, left the equation of price, then yes, this device will probably lose a body whose cost is big.

Some of my random thoughts on this camera, I will not cover everything, because others have done very well. I will touch on issues important to me, a semi pro photographer, who sometimes need to travel light.

ISO performance (which is more important to me in any camera at any price):

ISO 100: No
ISO 400: Great (and professionally competent), with the exception of the more desirable that the noise in the shadows darker. Even RAW and post-treatment care is likely to leave the shadows alone and not take it too. I am a little 'uncomfortable here for the sake of being thorough examination, is not terrible by any means, or "ice-breaking" noise in the shadows.
ISO 800: for safer and better than expected, but the sound is certainly evident at this level - or rather the effects of noise reduction are visible - and in reducing the noise of the camera is aggressive enough that some detail and sharpness is lost because of the sound clean. Sure, but better used in smaller sizes (8x10 or less) in printing and publication.
ISO 1600: For me, it is beyond dispute. I have a higher level than the average consumer as a semi-pro, so keep in mind. I want to use this parameter only in a situation so serious that ISO 800 would be completely useless. Noise reduction at ISO 800 is too aggressive, but leads to the elimination of a loud noise. It seems that not even bother to ISO 1600. The noise is all in ISO 1600. I have not used a camera that I remember was a big difference between ISO 800 and ISO 1600. So the bottom line, in my humble opinion, you should stay away and use only in a pinch. I can not see anything above 4x6 print with this configuration. If this is your bag, then you probably will be fine.

I mean my views on the management of ISO that I purchased this camera for performance at high ISO sensitivity. If you decided to do it twice, I think. Is better than the Rebel, Rebel XT and Rebel XTi? Of course. You do well at high ISO? Not necessarily.

I do the vast majority of my shooting between ISO 100 and 400. I use fast lenses and usually run during the day. This is particularly true for the moment I am using this device. I'm not going to like this camera for high ISO performance. Why I take the 5D. I'm going with this camera for those exceptional moments when the 5D is not the best for your situation. This device offers exceptional image quality at ISO 100-400 and a useful ISO 800. For me, this is what counts. a 12MP DSLR with exceptional image quality for just over $ 500 is what it is. He throws a Canon lens of Nice (better lens) at a professional level and have acceptable results. I would not use this device, if these results are not available.

The only way the above 5D outshoot that is (in relation to picture quality) is that if you make enlargements or shooting above 400 ISO. If you use the proper glass, RAW and manual ISO setting (which is what I do) this is an impressive camera. I do not care if someone says the opposite, o. I do not - not - argue that point because I saw the results.

Now, if you have never used a rebel, I say that is much smaller than the 20D, 30D, 40D, organs, etc., which may or may not be used. It 'much more difficult for me to keep a good grip on the body, for example, the 40D. Again, this is fine with me, because I do not buy this for ergonomics. Once again, I'll buy it for consideration. Combined behavior of prices is how this happens in a place of courage. I have to keep repeating that, because for some reason, people have always felt the need to compare the cameras that are unmatched. If you are looking for the best performance in a DSLR with the best price, it is my firm opinion that is the camera.

Finally, I would say that if we speak strictly of image quality and nothing else, such as ergonomics and construction, in my humble opinion, the IQ of this device is good or better than the 40D slightly overestimated. Given the huge difference in the price of two - almost 100% in different situations - unless you're a fan of ergonomics, I think the decision is not rocket science. Buy this and save $ 500 for a glass better, or just save the $ 500 for no other reason than saving $ 500 is great. What I'm waiting for the road is there to compare the IQ IQ of 50D. Again, not less than the 40D, if we speak strictly on IQ. I returned the 40D last year after using it for 2 weeks. Simply not worth the price. The 40D to me is simply a Rebel XTi (XTi, XSi not), with better ergonomics.

visit: www.slrdigitalrebel.com

digital slr rebel Excellent quality and price

I waited months to discuss the possibility of going ahead and buy the Canon 40D or take over the new XSi. I'm glad I waited for the XSI. The quality is excellent! I bought the XSi with 18-55mm IS lens. The lens is a nice walk around lens, but also purchased the 50mm 1.8 and Sigma 70-300mm zoom. I tend to leave the Sigma more than anything else.

The XSI has almost all the features of 40D at a fraction of the cost. Their function are clearly far superior to the XTi and totally worth it to upgrade. The 3-inch LCD screen is ideal for watching the live action or review. The buttons are placed high and is very easy to navigate.

The body itself is not as heavy as the 40D, but does not feel as cheap and low. It 'a big step up from my Canon S3 IS, but I still like this camera and all they have too much power.

I used the camera often and places and in all. Of course, like most, is doing very well from the light. Has exceeded my expectations in a dimly lit interior. Even when he had to change the ISO to 800 or 1600, made to perfection and there is very little noise evident. With my old car, have never been able to use high ISO settings, because they were too noisy to resolve with post-treatment. With the XSi, there is little or no workstation required processing in high ISO shots. It 'wonderful for low light conditions, when you do not want the deer in the headlights look flash!

Overall, the XSi was totally worth waiting and saving. The XSi is a fraction of the cost of the 40D and has most if not all the positive aspects of the 40D. Definitely recommend anyone debate between the two to go ahead and stick with the XSi body and your money for good lenses.

digital slr rebel expectations were exceeded.

To buy my first digital SLR camera, but I come with a solid base of analog photography (medium and) large format photography.

The XSI is nice. I have the camera for the first time in Washington, and took some being used for the controls, but I had a couple of very good shots. I have the goal of the kit is included with the camera and my 70-300mm zoom, and my 24-70mm lens (two lenses Canon) and I have some great pictures.

So I have this camera and lenses with me in a week's trip to Orlando, Florida, and I shot about 1200 photos, and I had many good shots. The colors are excellent and a great transition from the first generation Digital Rebel that I used before.

I bought the car a week ago to replace my Digital Rebel 5 years. The differences. It is easier and much faster. The speed with regard to implementation and every shot and auto-focus is amazing. Died during the greater part. This camera is too easy, especially for those accustomed to the original Digital Rebel. I was impressed very satisfied with the goal of the kit, although it has received rave reviews. I always play with him. My Canon 28-105 sharper images that the goal of the kit.

Overall, this camera is definitely a step forward for Digital Rebel elderly. The XTi, the 3-inch LCD and live preview of the comparison is a substantial improvement. Spot metering is a great advantage. I am very pleased with this camera.

www.slrdigitalrebel.com

Canon Digital Camera (SLR): Rebel XTi

SLR cameras are great ... The Nikon D50 is convincing in every respect.

Nikon Corporation focuses on the digital camera market, offering a new standard with the D50 digital SLR camera for entry-level lenses. It is primarily aimed at consumers who have already gained some experience with digital compact cameras and now want to use the undeniable benefits of digital SLR photography.

With the D50's outstanding image quality of digital SLR photography is so easy to reach as never before. This camera combine Nikon's expertise as a manufacturer of professional cameras, the latest digital technology and the excellent imaging performance of Nikkor interchangeable lenses. The D50 offers a variety of recording options, which can only offer a high quality digital SLR cameras - the benefits of digital SLR photography, such as the reaction speed and excellent image quality is so affordable for everyone.

I bought the Nikon D50 a few months ago and since then experimented much photographed, and verified the results.
The camera has many advantages that we in this price range usually finds difficult:
1. The service is easy to understand. After taking photographs in the simple functions such as delete or transfer has worked on PC, you can slowly work them into more difficult areas of manual that can also understand, pace, as the guide describes the function and the use of well-explained and described. Who's Afraid of blurred photos due to insufficient knowledge about aperture, shutter speed, etc., and the resulting incorrect settings may have to be perfectly satisfied with the Nikon D 50, since one with the automatic mode quickly and easily replaced by photos of the highest Qualitt.
2.The Save, organize and retrieve the photos is also easy to understand and cope with a few buttons. Even with many images on the memory card you can quickly find that what one is looking.
3.Extrem long battery life! For me there were not a 2000 photos as described above which has endured the battery, but some over 1000 Recharging is quick and easy.
4.HüBsches design and easy to transport.
5.Whereas various shooting modes allow photos from various situations look their best.

Besides these five main advantages of the camera, there are some other smaller, would enumerate now go too far. The only (minor for me) cons that I found in the Nikon D 50 are ...

1.Man the image which can be just like taking photographs in the viewfinder, but not on the screen (but the power of authentic Fotographieren see:))
2.The quality of the images when they reflect on the TV is not as good as I had expected, on the PC but can be recognized by my opinion, no defects.

Conclusion: For entry-level digital SLR photography is the Nikon D 50 is the ideal camera because it is easy to use and affordable, delivers high-quality images and has also a long period of no significant shortcomings.

www.slrdigitalrebel.com

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR Camera (21 megapixel) Housing

The EOS 5D Mark II full frame sensor and high resolution, continuous shooting up to 3.9 fps and the high ISO range. The innovative approach allows you to record full HD video
Features
21.1MP full frame CMOS sensor
DIGIC 4
ISO up to 25,600
Video recording Full HD (1080, 30 B / s)
3.0-inch VGA LCD with Live View mode
At 3.9 fps (JPEG)
9-point AF + 6 Help AF points
Magnesium alloy
I was taking pictures for 6 years as an amateur ambitious. My journey started with digital SLR cameras, the Canon 10D to 30D, it was, time for the 5D, the 5D Mark II update, I looked forward, even if there are things to improve the 5D is already good. When we also need to be clear, renewed the Canon 5D Mk II, is not at all.
The question of whether to buy a full frame or APS-C or H-format, each must decide for themselves. I mostly portraits, fashion, street, travel and architecture. Sports and animals in nature, so it's very fast and / or distant objects, are with me the exception. Therefore, decided several years ago for the full-frame 5D, and the series.
After 2 weeks of intensive testing with the 5D Mark II, here's my review and some comparisons in 5D Classic:
Hiring
After extraction, and is now the first positive impression of usehaptik GES?. The camera feels strong and grip than its predecessor. It is probably due to the grooves of the housing trivalent magnesium. Turn the wheel to have more endurance and racing's richest book. To ensure the welfare of measuring the improvement of the quality of the news for protection against moisture. The CF card door is always plastic, but lock in a better and more extremes of a continuum. The control buttons have changed little in its position and function. So the light display near the shutter release button (for me as logical to use) and press "Delete" and now the last button on the control buttons on the left of the screen and slide. (Warning to all ex-5D user, the location where the show "the image is" essential. KEYB Please hurry, or the photos are here!)
The depth has been moved laterally under the lock on the target. Although it allows greater ease of use, while the blow, but something told me that the problems on the performance of the device in Live View mode, as can be easily pressed. Aquí, todavían estoy acostumbrando an otra operación de la cámara.
Presentation:
In addition to seeing the Senate (LCD), which now, finally, the ISO is shown (and now also in the hole!) Has been installed, large and razor sharp 3 "screen. That alone is almost reasoning enough for ' update. 's brilliant, accurate color, and are still very good. The automatic brightness controls on the screen for different ambient light is also useful. The menu structures is divided into different folders, so for me a logical and easy to use . The number of adjustment options with additional features are also developed.
Viewfinder:
In direct comparison with me, as the new 5D viewfinder better. I consider myself a bit 'bigger, brighter and with better coverage of the image. Especially when you wear glasses, I am pleased with the improvement since the field of the lens limited vision anyway (the distance between the viewer).
Autofocus and measurement:
Not here, the 5D Mark II has really changed. The AF seems to be the same as the 5D. This is a very common criticism of knowledge, because there was no improvement. It would be an improvement in AF know object (for example, near the center, with other data such as points of cross-type sensors), but in my field of activity was sufficient 5D AF always sufficient and necessary, as most use the sensor in the center of my work. Here, Canon takes a different path of the Nikon AF treated as professionals and amateurs. Canon refers instead to a different camera, as the professional 1D Mark III, 50D, or less, better AF, faster continual shooting mode.
New Canon 5D, but the correction of microlensing data. This can be very different from the focal point of the lens is correct (front or back focus). I took my time and slow einjustiert. And, in particular the slow light, which have only a very narrow opening between home, more accurate results! Moreover, while the Live View function, examination of the importance of reliable indication of the sharpness.
Exposure seems to be identical to the old 5D. I found the Mark II as accurate as I am used to. White balances, however, AIM slightly improved. Inside, I have the little 'more exact values, but this is now a feeling and not a scientific comparison.
Cleaning the sensor:
Finally, the new 5D! Very often I have a way to change lenses a few grains of dust on the sensor. The opinion is so that when you look at home with the landscape design or architecture (opening) on the screen. Cloning and dust grains up to 300 photos is very boring. The 5D MK II is an automatic cleaning mechanism that shakes, dust particles are those of the probe. I had no traces of dust visible in my photos.
ISO
ISO options are incredible. Mark II can display the ISO from 50 to 25,600. And a wide range of this field is really useful. I try, if possible and appropriate to shoot at ISO 100. Here, the contrast and post-processing potential is greater. However, up to ISO 1600 are actually are very good results (correct exposure) achieved, which can be printed large. ISO 3200, I think also surprisingly good and totally useable. Some tests give impressions A4 standard ISO 6400 which recorded a noticeable loss of quality. For 10 X 15 photos, but still quite reasonable and preferable at any time by a blurred image. Called 12,800 and ISO 25600 (H1 and H2 of the camera) is better than no photo and a little more usable format. But please do not expect miracles!
ISO 50 (L) is more suitable for extremely bright or study situations where flash can not move enough, or if you need longer exposure times to produce the blur and no neutral density filter on hand.
Resolution:
21 MP ... In fact, I am not a friend of pixel madness that has become common in recent years as vermeindlich of quality? Tsinda for digital cameras. However ultimately this is how the pixels can be represented dissolve (color, dynamic range, noise) and as such pixel color transparent, distortion-free image can be?
I was really jumping 12-21 megapixel worry, because now 75% of the pixels have to share space on the chip without disturbing others. Fortunately, this concern was unfounded! The resolution, color rendition and dynamic range Excite me, the 5D Mk II, but much slower Vollformatkamera lens and 21 megapixel camera is ideal for showing the effective resolution of detail.
Unfortunately, many photographers tend to follow the best cameras to take root, but then save these goals. A good goal would be decade, a digital SLR camera body, but only about 3-5 years. A comparative tests with a good zoom is really scary. Compare to high-quality Canon 70-200 f / 4 L IS images look as if someone had smeared Vaseline on the front of the lens. Not always Canon "L" lenses, but with the zoom f / 4 Canon L series has very good hands, if you do not need the maximum intensity (I am absolutely delighted with these: 17-40, 24 -105 (very similar to "Ride On" and recommend Reiseobjektiv) and 70-200). But even without a fixed focal length "L" to make a good impression (50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.8 macro).
The jump from 12-21 megapixels in real terms, a picture size of the production of 100% compared to "only" has about 1 / 3 lengths of greatest advantage. Expression with 12 megapixels and, for example 100 x 66 centimeters equivalent to 21 megapixels 150x100cm () for the selected resolution.
Image results:
The photographic results to convince the state of the sensor and processor technology. The resolution of detail (IS) lenses with an incredulous sound! And the ability to edit RAW files much larger than the old 5D.
However, the result of my concerns only the images that were photographed in RAW mode. JPG persuading results, is not enough detail in dark areas are a little 'muddy (too much noise?).
I recommend everyone to take his picture always in RAW. The files are larger, but the purchase of expensive camera as a high quality and does not guarantee results in a format like JPG Verlusstbehafteten.
And with a decent photo software such as Apple Aperture and Adobe Lightroom 2 is the treatment and management of the means of RAW also much easier.
Video:
The video is a nice feature that I think this has influenced my decision to buy, though. While it is great addition to the relatively heavy camera equipment do not even need to bring a camera, but with a normal film camera spontaneous or family holiday replaces the 5D II is not for me. It begins with the ergonomic burden on the video and control are still insufficient contrast AF. Even if you can now buy a full frame sensor and high-quality lenses for the film to watch quality films but also the lens to manual focus ring the little tight, but it is sometimes desirable act (thanks to the sensor and lens aperture may be the depth of 'very weak influence, sometimes much better than compact cameras, but as a precise control of FMD is more important because other films that focus on output. Since the great benefits of HD) Resolution no. Built-in microphone transmits sound from the SI (if any) and the zoom or focus and must be completed with an external microphone.
However who wants to enjoy a film, CAN) with a tripod, an external microphone and the exercise itself, the manual focus very concrete results (see website for sharing video or Canon.
Conclusion
The 5D Mark II is the 5D classic logical and coherent. Faster, better screen and viewfinder, and the convenience of cleaning the sensor or the Live View mode, the round-video output packet. The resolution and color reproduction of images in RAW mode are simply outstanding, from the perspective of today, and at this price, with good goals.
Canon continues its pattern of politics, and not everything that is technically possible to build the 5D Mark II. This remains the flagship of the series 1Ds reserved. The 5D Mk II, but is also 70% less than the 1Ds Mk III. Selon l'objectif of caméRa que vous avez à faire de petites concessions à La mise au point automatique, peut-être, ou de décider, mais pour le modèle, qui est le principal domaine d'application est le mieux à la couverture photographique.
With these technological advances, we must not forget that this is still the photographer who takes pictures of good or less good. The 5D Mark II is not a panacea and is used only in well-trained hands can achieve exceptional results.
In general, my assessment of my views and my goal in high school 1 --
Advantages
+ Better Housing
+ Best view
+ Much better view
+ Bessres control menu
+ Sensor Cleaning
Microadjustment + AF Lens
+ Live View
+ 3 custom function memory
+ Very high resolution lenses with a good
+ Color and dynamics in the RAW files are larger than the 5D
+ Behavior ISO 1-1.5 stops better noise
+ Ability for video professionals
Weaknesses:
- AF is enhanced by a new type of sensors rec
- AF mode video memory (Kontrastbasier because the mirror is a backup)
- Auto ISO can not be classified correctly
- ISO does not seem very accurate. I suspect that ISO 200 is actually quite 150th Window is a small room. The old 5D is near the true value.
PS I have no problem with firmware 1.06 and found no errors in the border area. An update to FW 1.07, I did.

http://www.slrdigitalrebel.com

Good replacement for my current equipment digital slr

I opted for the Nikon D60 including the Nikkor 18-105 mm lens as a cheap replacement for my existing equipment - and am more than satisfied. So far, I wore a somewhat dated D100, before another D1x and a heavy 70-200/2.8, a 85/1.8 and two other lenses around with me. The result: Professionally, I used almost exclusively an enclosure with the telephoto zoom, but after the latest, two hours on the sidelines of a football game did not hurt any of the neck. And in the private vacation we have always taken our little Knips crate, even when making a clearly inferior photos.

Now to the D60: Of course it can not compete with the little Nikon many setting of semi-professional and professional DSLRs. But it offers a similar current cutting-edge technology from Nikon's house for a pleasant price and excellent size and weight. I find it pleasant to have a handy DSLR in action - and surpasses the quality of the photos in my case, the predecessor of the cameras many times. I have now with my yield a rate of 70 to 80% good pictures - before it was maybe 50%.

The D60 is something for DSLR beginners - but also for people who have to (price-conscious investing in good technology) and may waive manchnmal overly flashy equipment. And the quality produces the DSLR camera is always preferable to a higher category, yet - and Others because of better usability in low light conditions, because of the possibility of changing lenses, and because of the setting away from the program mode.
A word to the 18-105s zoom: It has through the engine and its built-in image stabilizer weight, but offers me a great quality for a large focal range (equivalent to approximately 27-160 mm). It is a "Immerdrauf" - and I can finally travel with my DSLR in the practical little bag in the holiday ...

I would buy it again.

digital SLR D90 vs D5000

Two months ago I had purchased the brand new Nikon D5000 in the kit with the 18-200 lens. I could then be difficult to decide between the D90 and D5000. Ultimately, the swivel screen was decisive. I had always regretted not my decision and was very happy with the new Nikon. Unfortunately she passed away in a fall from a height of 5 meters to the victims.

I Have now bought the Nikon D90 with the same lens. Now I can indecisive prospects who can not decide between the two models indicate some experiences:

Benefits of the D90 compared to D5000:
+ Better feel and solid processing + Worlds to better display (920,000 pixels) + Shoulder-touch display and additional + Much larger and better viewfinder + More professional Special Features + Slightly better noise performance + Better and faster handling + Longer battery life

Disadvantages compared to the D5000:

- Lack of automatic Distortion (I miss) - A little heavier and slightly larger (not everyone is a disadvantage) - Display information for newcomers less understandable
My suggestion: bring more photographic experience of the prospective customer, the more likely he will be happy with the D90. The more inexperienced newcomer will be able to make friends with the D5000, the user guide offers a lot of support.

I personally benefit especially from the much larger and more powerful the viewfinder of the D90. The folding screen, I strangely did not miss. The higher resolution screen of the D90 is so blickwinkelunabh?ngig that he is just as suitable for ?berkopfaufnahmen or photos from the frog's perspective.

Conclusion: Measured by the small price difference for the D90, the D5000 provides significantly more for your money.

1 Segment Price digital camera for enthusiasts at affordable prices

The EOS 300D is the first digital SLR camera in this price range.
In the Canon EOS 300D has installed a CMOS sensor with resolution of 6.3 megapixels. Our tester was equipped objetivar EF-S 18-55, which is sold only with the camera. The focal length Wechselobjetives focal length equivalent to an entire frame 29 to 88 mm small. This at least is a good choice angle. EOS lenses from analog cameras can be easily connected - but the small a factor extended focal length of 1.6. (What kind of tele-Uiversal as the availability of 28-300 is not much in the numbers 44-480 mm, but is a powerful lens is possible)

The autofocus works quickly and accurately. Select the priorities in the context, are defined with two handles. Quickly, the EOS 300D also traveling: It dissolves in reality, when you want. Since bringing the fun immediately!

The operation is considered, it is possible, even without studying the manual and run around the subject. The scene modes help with many rules quickly. Those who prefer to focus manually opening times and setup can explode. In difficult conditions of light to help spotting and metering more, otherwise the combs of measurement are very good results. The flash is outside the lens - minimizes the risk of red-eye reduction.

The control of the TFT display provides an overview of all guidelines. The TFT itself is very high, the brightness can be easily adjusted. To view the photos you can enlarge the images below to check the sharpness.

The first test has left a good impression: You are where the older sister EOS 10D is not.

It 'just have fun with the camera like a traditional SLR photography with high precision and speed. The 2mm wide one sense more easily and the 16-Lenses 85er feels much as the 18-valent to 105s (easy schrottiges plastic feeling), it has a metal bayonet and the proper distance scale, and VR II is smaller and heavier than the 18 -- 105s.

However, I'm around the lens a little concern, because it seems to give up lately, according to forum reports more 16-85er after a short use, the mind. Schaumermal ...

For the D90: the camera is the hammer, processing and noise performance are excellent, cannot compare with the Sony and Canon in this price range that I've tried lately. Shoot until 1600 or 2000 ISO-hearted, up to 3200 images can be recovered but are still predominantly. The camera is worth, even without the-discussed video feature, and certainly over-valued their money.
The video features requires, practice, but is still superior to their design in terms of the exemption and cinema camcorders and compact appearance.
Manual intervention options have been thoroughly when it is closer to (aperture, ISO, determination of the exposure employed). Sharpen you should anyway even if you want to control the eyes of his audience, but I have to practice first.

Liveview is for me only a few situations an alternative to the viewfinder, such as Macro, and since it does not interfere, that the AF is very comfortably in Liveview (that Sony may be better). The normal AF is good, though a step below the D300, but somewhere you have to delimit the cameras even from each other.
The camera is not sealed against water and dust, at Youtube, but there is a video of the D90 when climbing the Eiger () without a protective cover, rain also makes Nikon's usually nothing. A D300 is allowed to fall against even one time in the water, which will go with the D90 not good.

+ Noise performance! If you want more, probably needs to buy D700 or A900?
Hammer + display! It is so fun ...
+ Zoom in on the fast image control
+ Fast editing in the camera, if you develop once the road had a picture on the fly "" must.
+ Many custom functions, I have stopped there, much to adjust the camera to my taste.
+ Intuitive operation, like all Nikon, which I have used since 1990.
+ User-friendly menu, display the last settings, etc.

- No true mirror lock-up
- Bit rate of the videos could be higher.

Ah yes, the D90 is NOT the sensor of the D300, even if many think. It is a newly developed sensor based on the D300er sensor, the experts are still arguing whether he is really better. Some say, sharpness and pixel noise performance of the D300 is still slightly better, but images are so affected not only by the sensor, since there are other factoring in a camera, eg AA filter, electronic pre-processing of images, noise reduction, etc.

Excellent in daily use - fully workable in practice digital SLR rebel reviews

With the camera I am completely satisfied. There are enough testing and reviews that describe the amazing features. I agree with the, but here are a few points for improvement:

- The video function is impractical. Problem is, the lens does not automatically focus - you must also manually re-adjust the sharpness! I hope for an early firmware update.

- The lens is no IF DF lens. Thus, about one third comes the zoom lens from the inside the lens and extends it. Actually, no problem, but when you shoot down sehrwohl this is a big problem. The lens simply extends (zoom), although it will not. Detention helps, but is not always advisable (eg, tripod shots, etc.).

Otherwise, full marks for body and flexibility of the lens. For any aspiring photographer, this combination three from last time. Who else wants the little more, not avoid the investment of additional lenses.

Personally, I would go to get this combination, despite these shortcomings yet again. However I would now be clear that I will still buy a more expensive lens (for example, then 1:2,8 70-200 mm Nikon with VR) / must.

Another tip:
The memory card should be very very fast and have been appropriating capacity of fast-moving images. I am using a Class 6 (30 MB / s) with 16 GB storage capacity. That is enough for the finest resolution and full pixel count in JPG format for almost 3000 photos. Sounds like a lot, but a holiday for one or two weeks and make appropriate interest in photography, the photos are up quickly - without that there would still room videos.

Tip 2:
I use the extra battery grip and have a second battery in the camera. Tip! Enough to forgive me for deleting the said about 3000 photos (including from time to time and) images. So highly recommended!!

Read more review.

A Great Cameron Overall digital photography

This camera is really great!

UPDATE: I've had been mining for 3 months and I've taken more than 3000 pictures. I still like it a lot. Amazing.

It's easy to use, the LCD screen is big and clear, it's quite light, and the packaged kit lens (18-55 IS) is good. It's not a top lens, but it delivers sharp photos across the zoom range. Default settings will give you great shots out of the box.
The 9-point auto focus is good most of times, but I found myself using the central point, most often, even more so when using larger apertures (when right focusing matters most).

For under $700, this is the best DSLR you can find.

* Pros and Cons *
Pros:
- An easy to use, quick camera.
- Intuitive menus.
- 12 mega pixels.
- Great pictures, sharp, good tones.
- Small and lightweight for a DSLR.
- Live view mode to almost mimic point and shoot feel-it's slow though.
- 3.5 shots per second-could be more.
- Sharp kit lens for the price.

Cons:
- Somewhat expensive compared to the Canon 40D (much lighter though).
- ISO limited to 1600.
- Relatively low fps.
- Exposure compensation range limited.
- Does not have video.

* The competition *
The closest competitor is certainly the Canon 40D, which is a bigger, more professional camera. It has more options, higher iso, remote flash, higher shots per second-rate, less pixels but a definitely tougher feel.
I went for the rebel Xsi because I found the 40D too hefty.
Still, if you really want a professional camera, you should look at the Canon 40D.
If you have a bigger budget, you should also look at Nikon, I really recommend the Nikon D300, it's a really impressive camera.

* Lenses *
Canon has LOTS of lenses.
If you're tight on budget, you should get the 50mm 1.8, a great lens for portrait. It's a very sharp lens. You'll enjoy the 1.8 wide aperture that allows blurred backgrounds and sharp , all this for under $100.
It's also a good start to get using to shoot with primes (lenses with a fixed focal length).
The 18-55mm kit lens is often paired with the Canon 55-250mm IS lens to give you an almost 14x zoom (13.9), this Canon 55-250 is a very good telephoto lens if your budget is under $300.
If you don't want to change lenses, Canon just released the 18-200 IS and it comes highly recommended so far.
The Sigma 18-200 OS is good too. It's cheaper and it's been in the field for longer.

Entry-level camera with a professional

I explain the technical details, but I think the EOS 400D now, I have had since April 2007, shortly.

I take, pictures for several years and have acquired a few months ago, the EOS 400D.
I must say me am very critical when it comes to quality, especially sharpness.

Therefore I abstained Kitobjektiv stole a length of 50 mm f / 1,8 with fixed focal distance of the first attempts. E 'was followed by wide-angle and telephoto.

He probably already negative reports about the lack of exposure, lack of concentration or other high quality aspects, which are read in auto mode, too.
With my previous digital camera, have never shot in RAW mode.
This is the really digital SLR rebel camera, I think, more than ever before! Why is it for you as a high contrast, bright colors and the image should, in fact, at least, if you want the images of high quality A3 size.
Of course, we are able to produce automatically or programs covered, call image. To do this, try to remember all the camera settings. However they should also be aware that they live with compromises. Adequately addressed in the appropriate forums.

After more than 4000 photos and some photos in studio and outdoor space with the EOS 400D, I am convinced of the quality of this camera!
Play on creativity is incredibly fun. Who wants to learn to shoot properly and understand the interplay between exposure, aperture and depth of field is not only the camera is the ideal partner, but creative in the picture with the vengeance and high quality.
And if they can be developed mainly just 13x18 image, forgive me for that size, thanks to a 10.1-megapixel image sensor, and even more so they believe, points to 100%.

About EOS Integrated Cleaning System, which could not complain so far. Those who are responsible for care when changing lenses (eg the opening), always looking down, is done with the little 'dust or not. Commerce also provides the tools and equipment for cleaning the sensor, if necessary.

The viewfinder is more than sufficient for my needs. Anyone who has worked with the compact cameras that can tell the difference. It 'a blessing, because the object through the viewfinder when you take a camera to the meter away and make a song on the screen.
Speaking of the screen: beautiful and serene in the hot sun, but relatively difficult to detect. However the photos will be reviewed at home anyway. For more information about the image, you can track information about the histogram.

Precision 9-point autofocus, I went to the box single central node of the sensor. What is much clearer, and I am determined to sit down exactly where the sharpness.

If you have not photographed with large SLR cameras, then you can feel the size is probably very enjoyable. Not too big and too heavy. My hands are big enough and welcome the beautiful body and it's functioning. If desired, the handful of camera batteries has gained some 'bigger and easier to handle on this, apart from the long-term operations.

Battery life is very good. Contain over 350 photos with me. Since I have an external flash unit with its own power, I have the number of images in about even with the flash. The Longest Journey, is still photos from a second battery.

The sculpture of Teddy's certainly not as valuable as a container of aluminum. However I never bothered, as caution before Motodrone camera. Therefore, not necessarily spending more.

The included software, I cannot say anything because I did not. I prefer the different software or RAW converter in September

Conclusion: The success of a digital SLR rebel for beginners with professional photos with the goal always correct and should succeed.
Images from the camera should always be something on the PC, if possible. (They are now developing Labs!)

Tip: Do not give Kitobjektiv, the EF-S 18-55mm, if you expect quality! They prefer to go with the price of 50 mm fixed focal length and to hear once again (recording)!

Addendum August 2008:
-----------------------

Meanwhile, there are several downstream of Canon devices on the market. And the 400D is ironing "old."
Now I have about 10,000 photos with the camera, and I am still very happy. Suitable for beginners and enthusiasts. Only the lenses of their borders. It 'really a qualitative difference between them with the aim of the kit, or a lens or a high quality L-series lens will be photographed.
I have many photographs depicting the A3 can be created with the aim of "middle class", see where there is no noise or blur, sometimes I understand 100% - point of view.
With the little 'editing, photos of professional quality.

Conclusion: The camera now, buy low and invest in a lot of goals!

A low-cost voice and astrophotography

Min-EQ is a bit 'expensive' table "in WIH German equatorial mount that allows the addition of the Orion EQ-1M Electronic Drive System for long-exposure photos of stars without the" Train "(an effect rotation of the Earth, causing photographic images of the star in time, so do not appear as points of light is visible, but) of circular lines. This is easily circumvented by a camera instead of the ball head assembly from the camera to Min-EQ.

In general, I would like the Min-EQ for any one looking to recommend that interested in astrophotography cheap, but with the caveat that large amount of patience to install and use. I advise you to read some good information on amateur astrophotography Covington, but before you buy.

More info.

Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR Camera (15 megapixels, Live View) Kit + EF-S 18-200 IS (lens bildstabilisiert)

Features
15.1 MP APS-C CMOS sensor
Up to 6.3 fps, up to 90 JPEG image burst
DIGIC 4 processor
ISO range up to 12800
3-inch VGA LCD monitor
Live View Mode
9-point wide area AF
Magnesium Alloy
EOS Integrated Cleaning System

I use several simultaneously, and one of my Teddy Teddy had to be replaced, so what could be more than the still rather new to me take a closer look at 50d and durchzutesten clear. Finally! With the EOS 20 D digital slr rebel

It is indeed a richer amount in the account when suddenly missing, if you look at the EOS 20D + EF-S 17-85 + various accessories anschafft. The EOS (this value because I had heart palpitations before shooting so no picture yet)?

Personally, I've been doing all with the Olympus C 750 UZ very good experiences. But after two years of use, I had exhausted the possibilities, and I always longed for more after that, finally making into the realm snapshot (zBrennende children) and sports photos without having to get lucky.

I have looked at before buying again, the Olympus C 8080 Widezoom - but even there minutes I had to. 1 seconds to wait until the object was finally brought into focus.

Not so the EOS. In a split second, the object is focused and sometimes just 3 to 4 shots gespeichtert on the map) (with 8 million pixels.
ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE

Image quality: If the menu system and each program has been understood, the recordings are a stunner. Especially in the 17er setting can be quite capture new perspectives.
Very good is also that you can manipulate the image brightness quickly and easily.

Focus: The multiple measurements on most shots is a stunner, but sometimes enjoy with caution. But then it just displays the AF and focus manually.

Size and Weight: What I'll like on many occasions certainly not as good, the weight and size of the camera. Here I had gotten used to the smaller Olympus, even when skiing in times as short jacket pocket disappears, and thus is always there. Here's a backpack will be needed.
When pure photo shoot but it is better handled through this process and to blur.
It is very good in the hand.

Menu navigation:
For almost any change be brought about quickly, there is a separate button on the camera. The menu is simple and quick use of the thumb.
Battery: A spare battery is of course necessary, but I'm not sure I buy the battery grip, as the camera so that bigger and heavier and it is in my view is not needed because the battery really lasts long.

Handling on the PC: Here I find the menu - if connected via USB not optimal. Additionally, make the time to change the camera turns off by itself, otherwise the camera switches off during the image transfer. But I can read off the images directly from the card, it is no problem.

Prospects: Since I joined with the smaller Digikam after one year at the limits of feasibility, I have realized after only one day that it will take a long time to exhaust all possibilities with this camera.

Conclusion: This camera is a blast, and finally a digital SLR that is worth (back to previously unaffordable excluded) for the Canon sweep. (My first camera was the A1). If the electronics allows, I'll be able to take pictures with this camera certainly 10 to 15 years and is still testing the boundaries.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://digitalslrrebel.blogspot.com/2009/09/back-to-roots-finally-with-eos-20-d.html' title='Back to the roots! Compared with its predecessor, it offers everything you could wish the (purchasing power) Photographer's heart. An improved, image-noise chip with 8.2 megapixels, the DIGIC II processor, which also takes into professional models, 1D Mark II and 1Ds Mark II data processing, 9-area Autofocus, exposure programs for any occasion, sw emulator .. .
For the pure amateur photographer who wants to just make time just pretty pictures, perhaps, the EOS 300D is the better choice, especially as the digital SLR rebel beginners device is now sold under 1000 euros. But who with his camera is a little more active will appreciate the magnesium housing of the 20D too. With up to 5 frames per second and 23 images in Series range of application possibilities for the 20D even to the ambitious sports photography. Particularly positive: the 20D is barely half as heavy as its predecessor. Who has ever gone on a report the whole day with a camera through the area, will appreciate this.

The only drawback of the EOS 20D - the focal length extension factor of 1.6 has taken over from its predecessor. Thus, at least the purchase of a suitable wide angle for many of the photographers, although quite high, but quite justified price of the EOS 20D is a little push upwards.

Nevertheless, five stars for a demonstrably enhanced product that is oriented to the customer's request.

Excellent SLR camera for little money

It is when purchasing a camera about two things: will 1.) and how much money I spend 2.) what I want to photograph them. If the first question indicated with a fund of 400 - $ 500, accounts for all comparisons to higher-priced models. Clear that we get for more money even more. But we need it? Then closes the second basic question in turn: I want to shoot professional sports and action photos or achieve the ultimate quality in glossy magazines, neither the D60 nor the specified finazielle discretion recommended. But for the ambitious photographer and especially for the beginner digital SLR camera, the D60 is excellent. It is easy to use, handy and easy for an SLR. The picture quality is very decent for this price range. With regard to freedom from noise I will not come up in the chorus of cheers singer, but with the color reproduction, sharpness, and the balance in the picture, I am very satisfied.

I have made a direct frame-by-scan comparison with the Panasonic FZ28, a comparison which is perfectly legitimate, since it is the owners of compact and bridge cameras that will afford a view to improving the image quality of an SLR Fotografiergeschwindigkeit to the target of Nikon "beginners" count. The FZ28 is making very good pictures, so good, that is recorded in the superficial compared with the D60 photos initially not such a big difference too. Only at the 100-percent increase to recognize quality differences. Where it is at the FZ28 messy and noisy, the D60 still draws a clean image. The biggest difference however is in the shooting itself: where is the auto focus of the FZ28 - a quick search of the compact camera - even after sharpness, with the D60 far the reception in the box. Also you should try that with the fully manual operated FZ28 not manually adjust the focus. This works with the D60 is not only much better, but with manual lenses really good.

How do I turn briefly to the two most striking disadvantage of the D60, which should be known if one opts for this camera: 1.) no built-in auto focus, depending on the lens with autofocus motor and 2.) LiveView neither, nor depth-to make a to obtain impression of the image that you want to shoot.

The first point is just unfair to those who have a bag full of Nikon lenses have, they can use on the D60 with manual focus. For beginners or for those who care enough one or two lenses, but not really a problem, especially since the mitggelieferte VR zoom lens is great. On the second point: I would have LiveView been found to be good in situations where you can not see because of the prospect through the eyepiece (eg lying on the floor or holding over your head). But these are exceptional situations are so rare that my image quality and handling are other much more important.

In conclusion, I find that the D60 is ideal for beginners (it should be mentioned the Info button, which provides information on settings and shooting situations) and also for the ambitious photographer who does not need high-speed camera and not be a pocket of older lenses net calls. I think the processing properly. I've read reviews of Nikon D300 owners who think that the D60 would be a cheap plastic toys processed. I can agree under any circumstances. This camera offers very good technical possibilities to make good photographs. Because that's missing is the good photographer. The photographer is not good, it does not help to invest 3000 euros in a professional camera.

Another added, after having the D60 on eight rock concerts for journalistic purposes in use (3000 photos, ISO 800 - 1600) was: fast, reliable, good with color, good exposure processing, problem use, long battery life, given the high ISO values at maximum aperture still good to usable photos. Criticisms: slow processing of several photos taken in quick succession. Significant weaknesses to trigger auto focus incompetence photos in the crowds in. (autofocus hardly knew what he should Sharpen).

Check for lowest prices.

Canon EOS 500D Digital SLR Camera (15 megapixels, LiveView, HD video) inc 18-55mm IS Kit (bildstabilisiert)

15.1 MP EOS 500D with the 18-55, you hold all facets of life. Now it is time to draw conclusions.

So far, I photographed with a Canon EOS 30D (and will continue to do so!) And an old EOS 20D. The latter now had the 500D soft (yes, I like to use two cameras, one with wide-angle lens, the other with a telephoto).

The Canon EOS 500D in many respects a great advance in other respects, at least a small improvement.

The picture quality is generally quite good, as I expect it from a Canon EOS. At ISO100 noise is virtually no detectable, even ISO200 is eigenlich just as well. At ISO400, however, we have noticed a certain deterioration of image quality, which, however, makes image editing with more get a grip. ISO800 is compared with older Canon EOS at least the same in terms of the noise. This also applies to the higher ISO values. The 500D is now offering up to legendary ISO12800. ISO6400 is - if you do not too much into the picture zooms out - for 15MP on an APS-C chip very well, while rushing ISO12800 even at screen size very well, with careful noise reduction can be so good but get a grip.

After all, is now possible in such extreme sensitivity shooting in almost total darkness. It has ranging from a few street lights. It is recommended that in case of doubt overexposing anything, because pushing on the computer is not as recommended because the noise it extremely increased.
Who would have it better, probably have to buy the 5D MKII - which is of course a whole lot more expensive.

The JPEGs directly from the camera are certainly very useful. With Tonwertpriorit?t and the automatic brightening (Autolight Optimizer) is usually required no more Nachberarbeitung. On older cameras, I often had to resort to F?llicht to get the images brighter - this saves you here now. Anyway, it's very restful, not having to reprocess all the images. With a sharpness of 4-5, the images are also enough "crunchy".

Of course you can also use RAW. However, this suggests each image with 18-27MB to book. Here one ought to use a large enough memory card. RAW offers more flexibility to Nachberarbeitung - but can not necessarily get more details.

A direct comparison with the 30D, I must say, though, that makes the 500D is definitely no better images, at least not in the area to ISO1600. I see only advantages in the higher sensitivity and better at the JPEGs directly from the camera (here, the 30D is not quite as good, and RAW has many advantages).
The advantages of 14-bit, extols the Canon, I could not find even with the 500D. Neither she nor better able to absorb the colors where they showed better grades, as is claimed happy.

For the 500D, you should absolutely use good lenses. The 18-55mm IS indeed perform according to various measurements quite well, but it disappointed me somewhat in use at the 500D. With the 17-40mm L, I definitely get better results. The 70-300mm IS USM cuts off at the 500D very good.

What should be noted: By the 15MP APS-C chip should not be too dim. From aperture 8 of the unsightly effect is the diffraction blur. This may be, at least for certain situations (landscape) is important.

From her body is well managed, the 500D. The huge display is clear, brilliant and sharp. Finally, it also offers a reasonable resolution (230,000 pixels on 3 "does not necessarily bring it ...).
The processing seems solid, of course it's not magnesium like the 30D, but solid plastic.

At 3.4 fps and 9 RAWS, or about 170 JPEGs in a row, the continuous shooting mode is quite usable, but I would cover situations where fps are important, but rather access to my 30D, which offers 5fps.

Now we come to the film feature, since it was also one of the reasons why I bought the 500D. Given my experience with camcorders were rather unsatisfactory, I had the 500D since it is right.

The quality of the films is very good, I am using 720p. I have no use for Full HD, especially since it only runs with 20fps. One Minute Film consume at least 300MB. The clips here are in MOV format. Due to the high data rate, it is possible to compress them quite easily without major losses in quality.
The sound is unfortunately only recorded in mono, presumably for marketing reasons. But he is very good and clear.
The autofocus is generally rather slow and straight for lentils with pinion drive clearly audible. Manual focus is recommended - thanks to the good display but not a problem.
Overall, I have to stay only two things in the film function:
- Occasionally streaks occur. This phenomenon has been discussed on the Internet and that explains, not that the whole sensor is read. Something bad, because I would have hoped for but by the very large sensor quality benefits
- In certain situations, the "rolling shutter" effect occurs. This is due to the CMOS sensor, which can only be read out line by line. One should therefore be added to prevent it from rising too fast moving objects to the side.

As far as the limit of 29:59 minutes, we owe it to an EU regulation that aims at preventing possible that displace cameras with video function, the camcorder. While it is somewhere annoying, but honestly, how often you take the longer videos? My previous maximum was at 20 minutes, and that was an exception. Due to the high memory requirements of the videos I see it as what matters is not so bad, except it is in the era of video editing anyway easy to put together a longer movies on the computer. And with longer clips to cut out what's normally anyway.
At least I do not see this as problematic, particularly since a battery in any case provides only capacity for about 60 minutes shooting.

Since I still appreciate all the advantages such as easily controllable depth of field. While the camera does not provide this for yourself, but you can but as using an adapter to connect an older lens, where you set the aperture manually. My experiments with old M42 lenses here were from quite interesting. DOF is controlled in normal camcorders, with their small sensors (1 / 6 "or even 1 / 4, 5") not given.

All in all, I am quite happy with the 500D. There is really only a few things that bother me. These would, first, the small problems with video shooting, on the other hand, I find it inconvenient that the video mode has landed on the dial at the back so that I as a user of the semi-automatic (aperture / time) the wheel has almost always turn around to access them have. A direct integration would have been better, as is the ability to start recording with the shutter release and not by the Liveview button (if you're not careful, then the video starts with a movement forward ...). For that I would have gladly dispensed with the Fotofuktion in video mode, which is anyway rather sinnfrei because we have neither time nor can control aperture and one for recording a short film, "Blackout" has. In addition, some absurd values chosen for the setting, such as clear Himme f/16 at a shutter speed of 1 / 50 seconds. Unfavorable for moving subjects ...

My conclusion:
The 500D is almost an "egg Wollmilchsau, this time with one or other restriction, even to the division in higher real models from Canon, but I must say that this is the first" digit "is Canon EOS, which really convinced me . The 400D gave me too bad grip, the 450D could not get excited about that way. The 500D is a good DSLR and video camera with the ability to change lenses in one - and that counts for me.
Because of the rather slow progress in image quality and the minor problems I have to deduct a star, but a recommendation for the device!

PS:
At the movies can at least solve the problem with the artifacts. Since the last-used visual style is also used for the films, it may come at too high a setting on the edge of said artifacts. We recommend that you use for the filming of a picture style, where the sharpness is set to 0.

Check for lowest prices.

1 price segment digicam for amateurs in the affordable

The EOS 300D is the first digital SLR camera lenses, is in this price range.
In the Canon EOS 300D installed a CMOS sensor with 6.3 megapixel resolution. Our tester was equipped with the Objetiv EF-S 18-55, which is only sold bundled with the camera. The focal length of Wechselobjetives focal length equivalent to a full frame of 29 - 88 mm in Small. This at least has a decent wide angle area. EOS lenses from analog cameras can be connected without problems - but will extend the Small focal length by a factor of 1.6. (What does a Uiversal of tele-eg the 28-300 is actually not a wide availability in Figures 44-480 millimeters but makes a powerful zoom range is possible)

The autofocus works quickly and accurately. The selectable focus points across the frame are set with two handles. Quickly, the EOS 300D also by the trip: It dissolves really, when you want it. Since snapshots bring back fun!

The operation is considered, it is possible even without studying the manual and start focusing on the subject. The numerous scene modes help you quickly adjust. Who aperture, time and prefer to focus manually setting can let off steam. In difficult light conditions, the spot metering more help, otherwise the honeycomb measurement gives very good results. The built-in flash pops up out of the lens - this minimizes the risk of red-eye reduction.

The control over the TFT display gives an instant overview of all parameters. The TFT itself is very sharp, the brightness can be easily adapted. To view the photos you can zoom far into the images to check the sharpness.

The first test left an excellent impression: They are where the big sister EOS 10D fails.

It's just fun, with the camera like a traditional SLR shooting accurately and quickly. The camera is your claim as a "Digital Rebel" - that is, they in the U.S. - in full. She rolls around in terms of price / performance market and is the advanced digicams of the superclass without Wechselobjetiv make life difficult. The price for a "full-fledged digital SLR rebel that will convince even those photographers who have not yet changed tack to digital, because the compact is too rigid and too slow and the available professional digital equipment was too expensive.

Read more review

Canon slr digital cameras -EOS 20d kit is now standard with Image Stabilizer lens!

For over 3 months I am already a proud owner of a Canon EOS 20d. All good tests and reports I have read before buying I think fully confirmed.

About 15 years I now take, pictures even with SLR cameras. Before the EOS 20d with the EOS 620, I had one of the first EOS camera with auto focus. Digital photography has long irritated me with their unbeatable advantage of direct recording of control and the elimination of film and development costs.

Besides the absolute image control through the viewfinder and flexibility through the various lenses I had grown accustomed to a non-existent shutter lag. With most digital cameras, the EOS 20d ago I had my hands in both the switch-on and the shutter lag has prevented from buying.

With the EOS 20d, but after turning the camera is ready to shoot well (when you tap the shutter from sleep mode) and shutter lag is not noticeable. This is especially handy for snapshots. I've already been photographed at parties and a shooting. I turned on the camera forever. Even when they controlled for about 1 min () falls into a sleep mode, it is immediately ready for a push of the shutter. So will I miss any spontaneous situation.

The case makes a very solid feel and fits comfortably in your hand. Unlike the EOS 300d or 350d, the new EOS 20d has a thumbwheel that rapid exposure or flash compensation possible. Even when you scroll and navigate through the menu or the images looking back with the display the wheel provides very good service.

The 8 megapixel sensor offers a high reserve even for enlargements in poster format.

I like taking pictures at concerts and mostly indoors. Even when shooting with my EOS 20d and high sensitivity (800 or 1600 ASA), there is no noise. A bolt of lightning that would destroy the atmosphere in such situations is not usually necessary.

The built-in flash pops up higher than with other cameras, which minimizes the risk of red eyes. He goes for shooting at close range, for example, at parties and family celebrations. Together with the E-TTL 2 flash control, which includes the color temperature and the distance information of the lens into the measurement can be made for example in large-aperture (shutter priority), nice shots. The ambient light levels is included in balance with the measurement. Also, the fill-in flash in backlit or in the sun loses its terror. For bigger jobs I have already ordered the Speedlite 580EX here at Amazon, to exploit fully all the possibilities of this new flash control to be able to.

A major advantage over the analog photography is the automatic or manual white balance. Thus, the color temperature can be selected in a particular area and to avoid color casts.

Also, the EOS 20d brings a black and white mode with different filters and toning methods with the same.

The EOS 20d offers scene modes for beginners, such as sports or portrait, and for the professional creative applications of the program, aperture priority and aperture priority, and a complete manual control.

The EOS 20d uses the speed advantage of the modern compact flash cards, for example, from SanDisk (Ultra II and Extreme) from offering and describes them very quickly. Thus a higher frequency can be achieved in continuous shooting. In addition, the USB 2.0 standard is supported already. This allows the images to a compatible PC or notbook read much faster from the camera. However, I usually use an external card reader, which saves the camera battery.

On a 1 GB Compact Flash Card fit over 250 JPG images with high resolution and over 350 medium-resolution JPG images. The standard battery is sufficient without the built-in flash of the EOS 20d is used loosely for more than 500 recordings.

It should be noted however, that the EOS 20d, like most digital Spiegelrefleskameras know full frame sensor, but a small CMOS sensor in the APS format. This gives a focal length extension factor of 1.6. That is, from my standard zoom lens EF 28-135 mm IS / USM, a telephoto lens Zomm of 45-216 mm. However I like the slight telephoto photographing such as portraits, this affect seems to me contrary too much.

The set offered in this Canon EF-S 17-85 IS USM lens provides a good alternative to my 28-135 IS USM dar. Because unlike my lens about the latest Image Stabilizer (IS)-generation features, it can also be used on a stand with turned-anti-shake. I am absolutely delighted with my lens from image stabilizer. Shots from the free hand, losing at 1 / 30 Sec. or more, its horrors. The 17-85 mm, although effective, "only" 27-136 mm on the EOS-20d, but who has special value to a standard lens with a slight wide angle and telephoto sets with this set-lens operates very well. However, as this is a EF-S lens, it can only on the EOS 20d, the use of the new EOS 300d and 350d. It cans be any analog SLR or a digital SLR with full frame sensor will be used.

Click compare prices.

For me, the perfect canon digital slr camera!

About 15 years I now take pictures even with SLR cameras. Before the EOS 20d with the EOS 620, I had one of the first EOS camera with auto focus. Digital photography has long irritated me with their unbeatable advantage of direct recording of control and the elimination of film and development costs.
In addition to the absolute image control through the viewfinder and flexibility through the various lenses I had grown accustomed to a non-existent shutter lag. With most digital cameras, the EOS 20d ago I had my hands in both the switch-on and the shutter lag has prevented from making a purchase.

With the EOS 20d, but after turning the camera is ready to shoot well (when you tap the shutter from sleep mode) and shutter lag is not noticeable.

The case makes a very solid feel and fits comfortably in your hand. Unlike the EOS 300d, the 20d has a thumbwheel that significantly simplifies many settings.

The 8 megapixel sensor offers a high reserve even for enlargements in poster format.

I like taking pictures at concerts and mostly indoors. Even when shooting with my EOS 20d and high sensitivity (800 or 1600 ASA), there is no noise. Films with the same sensitivity to show a lot more granularity.

The built-in flash pops up higher than with other cameras, which minimizes the risk of red eyes. The surcharge for the standard zoom lens is not so high and when they do once a landscape or monuments want to shoot on vacation, I have a slight wide-angle object in reserve.

Check for lowest prices.

Canon EOS 450D SLR-Digitalkamera (12 Megapixel, LiveView) Kit inkl. EF-S 18-55mm 1:3,5-5,6 IS Objektiv

The EOS 450D blends uncompromising performance with ease of use in a lightweight, ergonomic body. This is the perfect base for the world from their point of view - Canon 12.2-megapixel CMOS technologies to create breathtaking images.

On August 20, 2003 shocked the world with the Canon EOS 300D, the first, even for amateur digital SLR cameras at affordable prices. At this time, really a revolution, not unreasonably, that this 6-megapixel was outside Europe the name "Digital Rebel". His successor from 2005, the EOS 350D, which was essentially an 8-megapixel sensor, a new image processor DIGIC II, faster and a change in direction of small and black. With the EOS 400D is not only the evaluation was of 10 megapixels, but ultimately more useful and a TFT monitor in self-cleaning sensor. The real "revolution" of the EOS 400D is for me, however, significantly improved the autofocus, who sat on the technique of semi-professional EOS 30D.

The digital photography since 1997 (including the Canon PowerShot G2) and took the previous series, the EOS 350D and EOS 400D in action and have done with these cameras, thousands of photos, before moving to the EOS 40D. The EOS 450D which I use primarily as a security camera.

The Canon EOS 450D was the update is 2 million pixels, as all his predecessors, bringing its total to 12 megapixels, which was the size and format CMOS sensor (22.2 * 14.8 mm) not change as expected. The EOS 450D also took note of the latest image processor, Canon's DIGIC III with more performance, a three-inch screen with Live View mode, improving the 9-point AF system, spot metering, and many improvements of detail.

The little 'angry, I turn on my side on Canon Compact Flash (CF) to SD and SDHC, because my mind between the EOS 40D and EOS 450D are not interchangeable. Why is this? The battery LP-E5 is a new element, which can now offer a greater capacity. Zusammendfassend can say "solid technique and everything," the great wow effect for me, however stayed away. Beginners can easily access it again, because the current models from Canon is a leader in the market when the state - art. However, now my first impressions ...

The feeling of the EOS 450D as a whole is a good impression. I feel me can take the little 'better than their predecessors. The presentation and the number of buttons is very well chosen, but I miss in practice, always the appropriate way to celebrate my EOS 40D. Be ', perhaps that was submitted to the EOS 500D. The live view is good for photographing static objects. Although personally I prefer the view through the viewfinder reflex, which has improved the EOS 450D is also significant and, fortunately, is almost semi-canon. The auto-focus accuracy is impeccable, and now I see now, no improvement to the EOS 400D, which is probably more intensively. The continual shooting speed has been enhanced with the EOS 450D, of course, but not for me personally involved.

Like most, I believe that the current setting of ISO on the EOS 450D is visible in the viewfinder. For me, sometimes it is delayed again I am certainly in high ISO sensitivity, and the pictures were unnecessary noise. The quality of images produced, I can do now, there is a significant improvement in the EOS 400D, which has also led to excellent results. Normalfotografierer to discern the difference between 10 and 12 million pixels, in practice, should not be particularly significant. At least that is supposed "Pixelpeeper. ;-)

My opinion: The new 5-star -> The Canon EOS 450D is a positive development for the EOS 400D, which has adapted to the features offered by competitors. Beginners can safely buy this camera, SLR camera, for both beginners and enthusiasts are very happy with the service. Who really wants to harness the benefits of a camera of this class, which of course is reflected in the rapid production of RAW images, then on the PC with the software (Bibble, Lightroom should be developed, etc.) to digital.

To purchase a digital SLR rebel camera from Canon is good, speaks well, rich and attractively priced leader Lens complete digital market. I want to draw attention to this particular case, the symbol "USM" refers to Canon lenses. These objectives focus quickly and almost noiselessly. A (red) "L" for luxury features refined Canon lens.

And note well: The goal of the EOS 450D kit is now available with IS (Image Stabilizer Optical = anti-shake lens), which I think is a good idea. For many beginners struggle, in particular, without knowing it, with the blur caused by camera shake after a too long exposure. Since I already have a wide range of Canon lenses, I IS Lens Kit, but cannot prove. In professional circles usually about (Canon) Lens Kit cursed in photographic practice, however, these lenses provide excellent results. Especially when you consider the value of money. In this sense, the objective of Canon kit is ideal for entry management firm - before it gets really expensive.

The first thing that this review is the line 1 expert and novice SLR photographers yet addressed that previously were filled with traditional cameras, but is looking for new challenges.

My experience is limited to three small-format cameras (now Fujifilm FinePix F11), as I have for nearly two weeks was a Nikon D80 in their possession, but his back, because the sensitivity of dust here (in particular, has been) a 'exception, also appeared on the problems of pixels (a total failure, the solidarity of dye).

I wanted to stay true to Nikon, but had to produce a device with the removal of dust, the present results with the Nikon D60 does not show a level which is more favorable than the D80. So they tend to run the excellent production model of Canon EOS 400D, but because they put the wrong side? Of course, this model will soon fall in prices, but I plan to use the device for several years, much criticized, because it was understood in the context of praise. Current tests not (it is illegal newspaper) encouraged me to perform this action. I have purchased from a dealer to exchange the remains in force, nothing against Amazon, etc, but the price was comparable, especially with the accessories and come back on the ground - but everyone must decide for themselves.

The first test (compared with the D80, I have the unique opportunity to compare the days): Large, crisp photos at home, the lights flash m. E. Not as good, but it is quite adequate. ISO had a value of up to 400 I've tried so far, the picture noise that can (almost) never say a great performance. Shooting outdoors, but also the high resolution work, is particularly evident in natural colors.

The large 3-inch screen, high resolution is very well did, Live View is I think, to a DSLR "real" (I always want to be) totally useless, but now is able to reduce the new standard models. The EOS 450D with Live View, but consumes more battery can do fewer images (with 50% flash used about 190 pictures), as showed. Moreover, not everything works (!) Methods in the subject field, that is, for starters, you cannot use the Live View, for example, in the range fully automated.
However exactly what would have been desirable to see the photo in front of the representation of power, but not the viewer. And very good. Further information will be provided in the viewfinder, you can read in the manual. Note: The auto-focus at 9 points. What does this mean? In the nine points in the viewfinder, usually only a few. Are the ones who put the image in any area of the "Sharp". Soon it becomes clear that not always work and sometimes it's better to cut yourself. However it is precisely the challenge that makes it at the end Vollautomatikbereich to address other challenges. Nevertheless to become a half-professional SLR, but we certainly need a few years - all Started Small.

The goal: a week of success, I have been very successful, the only device with the ES-S 18-55 mm, most of the pictures are, but also with a stabilizer that does not mean that there is no image blur ! A tripod, and I asked for a firm hand and the stabilizer are good, but is aimed mainly at 55-250 mm, new challenges to ensure a perfect image (such as the photo at night with the longest exposure times). Note also that the "small" premium lenses allow a wide angle. The distortions that bother me, I found today.

Now, I also get the EF 55-250 mm reconstructed. Suitable for light from the camera, in any case is more of a lightweight, no screws to twist his arm. All men and the remaining frauentauglich! And the photos () Tagaufnahmen alone. Wow, for my purposes, it suffices erstmal for sometime. Great zoom is possible, because even here, you use a stabilizer, were under the direction of movement of the camera is not ambidextrous. The range of optical systems is considerable. Professionals, like slow sweet smile, but if we are not HDTV, PAL TV is sometimes very good, D. H. You can increase. If I wanted something better, I would have with a Nikon D300 also offers a wider scope. With a goal of most expensive in the beginning my goal of a budget, but has been largely overcome. Therefore, the Canon 450D does not work well for beginners, interesting. A great device that allows you to forget as quickly about its latest digital cameras.

The comparison of the 22 purely physical, 2 x 14.8 millimeters great shows an image sensor with the insignificant size of available sensors, because this is 12.2 million pixel (effective) noise model exists for the greater distances than standard ISO is appropriate.

Another reason that makes me happy is that I had not had any problems with dust, removing all traces of dust from the camera works fine, otherwise it is recommended for most of the rebels, a fan or a warning in dusty environments. Pixel Tests perte des difféRentes photos, je n'ai pas pu trouver.

However certainly in a position to inform, but other commentators are certainly more competent and expressed.

For me, a Kauftipp. A reference to house yet they are no longer seems very kunststoffbillig something noble or it was installed, but it is a D80 or similar camera, and especially women do not have enough candle. However with control of the material and the lightweight of this deficiency is compensated very well.

Check for lowest prices.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://digitalslrrebel.blogspot.com/2009/09/canon-eos-450d-slr-digitalkamera-12.html' title='Canon EOS 450D SLR-Digitalkamera (12 Megapixel, LiveView) Kit inkl. Now is the time to draw conclusions.

So, now, I photographed with a Canon EOS 30D (and will continue to do so!) Is an old EOS 20D. The latter has now been soft 500D (yes, I like to use two cameras, a broad objective angle, the other with a telephoto lens).

The Canon EOS 500D in many respects, a turning point in other respects, at least a small improvement.

The picture quality is generally quite good, as I expect from a Canon EOS. At 100 ISO the noise is virtually undetectable, even ISO 200 is eigenlich equally well. At ISO400, however, we noted a certain degradation of image quality, which, however, makes image editing more Get A Grip. Compare to large ISO800 Canon EOS, at least the same in terms of noise. This also applies to higher ISO settings. The 500D offers up to ISO12800 legendary. ISO6400 is - if not far the picture - a 15MP APS-C chip very well, as he ISO12800 quickly, including the size of the screen very well, with careful noise reduction can be good, but getting compressed.
After all, it is now possible to the extreme sensitivity of those shots in the dark near. It's going to be some lights on the street. It is recommended that if of doubt, nothing overexposure, because it encourages the team is not desirable, because the noise is very old.
Who would most likely to buy the 5D MKII - which of course is much more expensive.

JPEG files directly from the camera are certainly very useful. With Tonwert prioritat and automatic brightness (Autolight Optimizer) is not usually required more Nachberarbeitung. Cameras more, I often had to resort to Füllicht for brighter images - this will save here now. However, it is very quiet, not to have to retract all the images. With the acuity of 4-5, the images are also quite "crunchy".

Of course, you can also use RAW. However, this suggests that each image with 18-27MB of book. Here you must use a memory card large enough. Nachberarbeitung RAW offers more flexibility - but not necessarily you can get more details.

In direct comparison with the 30D, I must say, however, makes the 500D image has not improved, at least not in the area of ISO1600. I only see advantages in increased sensitivity and better JPEG images directly from your camera (here, the 30D is not as good, and RAW has many benefits).
The advantages of 14-bit, enhances the Canon, I could not find even with the 500D. Neither she nor better able to absorb the colors in which they showed the best grades, as is happy.

For the 500D, you must use the lenses good. The 18-55mm IS actually play, as measured by several very well, but I was the little 'disappointed in use on the 500D. Con il 17-40mm L, è Certamente ottenere risultati migliori. The 70-300mm IS USM cut into the 500D very good.

What to consider: the 15MP APS-C chip is not too weak. Opening of 8 is the unpleasant affects of diffraction blur. This may be, at least for some situations (landscape) is important.

Your body is well managed, the 500D. The large screen is clear, bright and fresh. Finally, it offers a reasonable resolution (230,000 pixel 3 "does not necessarily lead to ...).
The plastic seems solid, of course not in magnesium, the 30D, but solid.

At 3.4 fps and 9 RAWS, or about 170 JPEG images in a row, the continuous shooting mode is very useful, but I would cover situations in which the threads are important, but access to my 30D, it offers 5fps.

Now, for the film, as was also one reason they bought the 500D. Given my experience with cameras are quite satisfactory, I had the 500D, as it should.

The quality of the film is very good, I'm using 720p. I have no use for Full HD, especially since it only works with 20 frames per second. One Minute Film eats at least 300MB. The clip is in MOV format. Due to the high rate of data you can reduce them quite easily, without loosing much in quality.

The sound is unfortunately only recorded in mono, presumably for marketing reasons. However he is very good and clear.

The autofocus is slower and generally live on lentils with pinion drive clearly audible. Manual focuses is recommended thanks to the good display, but not a problem.
In general, I have to stay only two things in the movie function:
- From time to time occurring gusts. This phenomenon was discussed on the Internet and that explains that you have not read the whole sensor. Something bad, because I would have liked, but for high-quality sensor performance
- Sometimes, the "gate" effect occurs. That's because the CMOS sensor, which can only be read line by line. Thus, we should add to avoid being too fast moving objects from one side.

Regarding the limit of 29:59 minutes, we need an EU regulation aimed at preventing potential, which take the place of cameras, video camera. While some discomfort, but honestly, how many times you take the video for? My previous high was 20 minutes, and that was an exception. Because of the high memory requirements of the video I see it as what matters is not so bad, accept in times of video editing still easy to put together a feature on your computer. And with the clips to cut what is normal in any case.

At least I do not see it as a problem, especially from a battery in any case, it provides capacity of about 60 minutes of footage.

Why still enjoy all the advantages, such as depth of field easily controllable. While the camera does not offer this to you, but it is possible, but using an adapter to connect a larger goal, which includes the manual. My experiments with the old M42 lenses here were very interesting. DOF is controlled in normal cameras, sensors, small (1 / 6 "or even 1 / 4, 5") appears.

All in all, I am very happy with the 500D. There is really only a couple of things that worry me. This would be, first, small problems with video recording, on the other hand, it seems desirable that the video mode on the dial landed on the back so that I as a user of semi - automatic (open / hour), the wheel has turned almost always have been gaining access to them. The direct integration would have been bettering, as well as the ability to start recording with the shutter button and live view (if you're not careful, then the video begins with a foreword movement ...). Why did I receive with pleasure Fotofuktion in video mode, which is not Sinnfrei however, because we have neither the time nor the aperture control, and another to record a short film, "Blackout" has. Also, some absurd values chosen for the creation and clear Himma f/16 at a shutter speed of 1 / 50 seconds. Unfavorable for moving subjects ...

My conclusion:
The 500D is almost egging "Wollmilchsau, this time with one or other restrictions, including increased actual scale models from Canon, but I must say that this is the first digit is Canon EOS, that really convinced me. The handle 400D me very badly, the 450D could not get them that way. The 500D is a good SLR digital camera and camcorder with the ability to change lenses in one - and that count for me.
Because of the slower progress in terms of image quality and small problems that I have to deduct a star, but a recommendation for the device!

PS
In film can at least solve the problem with the artifacts. After the last used visual style is also used for film, may come at too high on the edge of such devices. We recommend that you use to film a style of photography, where the sharpness is set to 0

more information.

A rangefinder is what?

This type of camera, the intermediate format between the so-called "compact" and "reflection". As the compact, sometimes it can fit in your pocket. Like the SLR, it is sometimes equipped with interchangeable lenses.

These aircraft had their heyday in the '60s and '70s, thanks to producers who probably know the names: Canon, Olympus, Yashica, Nikon, Ricoh, Vivitar, Minolta, Konica ...
The principle of "rangefinder" is very simple: you look through the viewfinder. At the center is a rectangle colored (blue or orange often). In this area, not one but two picture that appear. To the point, just turn on a ring of the objective by ensuring that the two images in this small rectangle coincide.

However the success of rangefinder cameras is not necessarily covered in this special.
Their strong point is that were mostly built at the time the money picture reaches maturity. In short, the cases are extremely robust objectives and often have an extraordinary quality of the images.

It 'was just before the reign of autofocus apparatus, namely, compact cameras we all have known for years 80 and 90, and that they preceded the arrival of digital cameras or APN.

So if my interest in these Rangefinder?
It 'very simple. In the four years I have owned three digital cameras that all I was disappointed. The last of them was, however, a high-end product from Canon, and touted as a professional camera. Images sorely lacked, charm, new light saturated, the contours and a halo surrounded, shapes of red or blue, the effect worse.

And then everything was clean, dammit! So that when drawing a picture, if the background is blurred highlights the face in the foreground.
Finally, the prints were ... bland.

All these defects are not hard to understand: the camera is still in its infancy, yet it is sold to us as a technology if it were already accomplished. Digital certainly come of age, but ... Silver has not developed in less than ten years, you know ...

When I ordered and received my first digital rangefinder, earlier this January 2008, I took the camera. I immediately understood the operation of the viewfinder. I loaded, film. Machine guns. Four or five days latter I saw my first photo on your computer. We must be honest: not All have been great, but the 36 poses, in proportion, there were still many people who were the outside. And if I want prints? I have my negatives!

The might think that the digital camera has an image quality better than a standard 24x36 camera?

E 'mathematician. Finally, not only that, but still. For the equivalent of an image taken with a film camera with a proper purpose, you need a 12 million pixel DSLR with a sensor size of 24x36mm. What is now found only on digital SLR rebel more than 600 per case. Without objective. Then you have to hand, really?

And then there was the depreciation of your purchase.

Yes, let's talk! All supporters of the camera (I was one myself) boast the savings will: you can "shoot" as they like, since the type is still possible after the computer. Also, users not most digital cameras make, prints.

Well calculates. A digital camera with a lens that is corrected by about € 250 at present. A rangefinder camera in excellent condition and a perfect view is about 30 to 40 euros. Film? € 4 / 36 exposures for the most expensive. Development? € 3.50. The draw? Same rate as in digital. You want your digital photos for the archives to your hard drive? € 3.50 for each film.

In other words, with a rangefinder camera, I have no time to do some thirty films or images in 1080, before reaching the cost of a digital camera. Time to 1080 images, the digital camera may be dead ... Telemetry devices, are already more than thirty years and wait for the day before. Under the same conditions as an NPC, are much more beautiful images, and ... we have not even talked about the fun!

Ah, the pleasures of the picture ...
The pleasure of the perfume of the film, to turn the ring on the lens. Trigger and heard the noise specific to each device (and not a sound that imitates a trigger synthetic yuk!).
I cannot even talk about Take your own pictures, because I have not made the leap for me.
Now I realize more times a week with a photographer crafts person who has a small shop along the road from me. Are discussed. One has the impression of strength. It 's funny, and then you create a social bond. You cannot really say much of your deposit or photo editor software, I confess ...

However, if this article (faith), has tickled you would for a moment, take a walk on the auction site where you know the name, look, you can crack ... And be back to complain if you do not win.

More infomations to.

The Best Digital SLR Canon Rebel

If you considered the transition to digital SLR photography, and none has been created with the boundaries of a simple point and shoot more than two years should be the Canon Rebel line of cameras is expected to become a vital part of their lexicon. If not, then you are going to be.

Canon Rebel line of digital SLR rebel cameras are often regarded as entry-level SLR. This title can have a rather negative connotation for those who believe in purchasing quality electronic equipment. Nothing could be further from the truth. If it is true that Canon (or Nikon or others) are modeling of cameras that are more than capable of stretching a budget of thousands of dollars, not necessarily a reason to.

Canons top of the line Rebel month, (the T1i) must be released to the streets in May 2009 sold for about $ 900, targeting the kit very good. While this is not cheap for the average digital camera, not a camera digital medium. When I remember spending $ 1000 for my first compact digital camera 6 years ago I had the little 'heart ache. This idiot is 15.1-megapixel camera, an image sensor of the 50D more expensive HD (1080p / 720p), video capture, live view, dust removal, and DIGIC 4. A first-time SLR buyer would be happy with this camera for a long period.

Although $ 900 is too high for your budget, it is best that you can still find great Rebel XT cameras for sale again, with almost as many features of money, even less. Some employees and some new, but you can find the Rebel XT, XTi, and XSI, and XS for just $ 450 new.

More information for check for lowest prices the SLR digital rebel.

Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - A review

Everyone loves the picture quality, but unfortunately not all the media, nor the time to master a professional level camera. I've always been a fan of good photography and have been looking for the perfect semi-professional digital camera. After a week of research and a couple of tips, I found the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera. The price is very reasonable for digital SLR cameras and a variety of features to help you make the perfect shot.

For many, the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera is ideal for a couple of reasons. Aspiring photographers and professional photographers will find comfort in this model because it allows the capture of beautiful images without the hassle of adjusting the infinite set of custom settings.

Like most digital SLRs, the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera is pretty large amount, but surprisingly light. Lightweight and comfortable grip, easy to maintain for long periods of time.

Also features a large 3-inch LCD screen for previewing images taken. It has 230,000 pixels, producing images of high quality reading. The battery of this model is also very impressive. I was able to shoot about 3,000 images on a single charge.

As mentioned above, the camera takes very good pictures, without the need for much customization. With Igigi III processor and backlight optimization, pictures taken in Auto / Standard mode are bright and sharp. I went with the manual and it seems that there are hundreds of other features that have not yet experienced. It also comes with a half-dozen Windows / Mac to edit photos and many other functions. So far, I had a good experience with the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2 MP digital SLR camera. If you are looking for a professional camera and easy to use and convenient, this would be the perfect model for you.

for informations the SLR digital rebel

The Rebel T1i the smart choice?

If the person is interested in technical matters, you should see that the Canon Rebel SLR T1i has a 15.1MP image sensor, and the most expensive Nikon D90 has a sensor pixel in 12.3mega image. If the directions of everything you need, so it is reasonably clear that the rebels T1i SLR search is your best price digital camera today.

Considering only the numbers, you do not understand the big picture here. More often it is better not to.

Megapixel is often an important part of the sale of digital cameras, and Fuji, Nikon and other manufacturers know this. Regarding the T1i Rebel SLR, the marketing department seems to have eclipsed the design team.

The APS-C image sensor used in SLR T1i is a bit 'smaller than the DX image sensor used by Nikon D90. Obviously, there are a few ways to squeeze more pixels into a smaller sensor. Using pixel tinier, and the batting together works. A more accurate indicator quality megapixel photos is the density of pixels. Here, the SLR D90 comes with a better (lower is better here) of 3.3 compared to 4.5 for the Canon Rebel T1i.

There is a concern to think differently if it were a digital SLR rebel that has a high pixel density. How to search for additional targets, you learn quickly that more megapixels means more money in expensive lenses. Lens designed for use with a high megapixel digital cameras are designed to cope better, and almost always costs.

For some reason, the objective is normally provided (EF-S 18-55mm IS f/3.5-5.6) T1i Canon is not one that lends itself to better account management megapixels. Canon does, in fact, the objective would be best game of the Canon Rebel T1i, including EF-S 18-200mm Canon.

If this were not enough, be aware that the pixel level can be a disadvantage for the dynamic range, ISO, and diffraction as well. After farther review, it appears that our first impression of the Canon Rebel T1i best bang for the buck is slightly incorrect.

A landmark in the photographic raw data used to measure the sensor and test DxOMark. The tests between the Canon 50D SLR (the same image sensor that use the Rebel SLR T1i) compared to the Nikon D90, the D90 digital SLR camera proves to be much more capable. I have no doubt that T1i DxOMark test WLL is almost identical to the EOS 50D data currently available test current.

Digital SLR Camera - Christmas Gift Guide - Know the Top 10 gifts for Christmas hours

The best Christmas gifts are those carefully the wishes of the beneficiaries, and desires of the mind. Canon offers a wide range of cameras to meet the needs of all market niches. The Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2MP Digital SLR Rebel is one latest offering from Canon for professionals in the making. This model has an EF-S 18-55mm f/2.5-5.6 IS. For a small fee, you get tons of features previously available only in expensive high-end cameras.

Canon has always been famous for its duration. I have owned several Canons digital SLR cameras in the passed and seems to last forever. Rarely needs to be repaired or rehabilitated and the only reason that the new trade, because of the new features. Therefore, I would invest in the new Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2MP Digital SLR Camera.

The Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2MP Digital SLR Rebel Camera feels good in my hands. It seems solidly built and is perfectly at medium-sized palms. Another new design feature of this new model has the feel and touch buttons. Comparing to their predecessors, the buttons in this new model seems more tactile, producing the sensation of a sprint, "when you press them. This" activation "is very useful for the photographer that the function has been selected without the supervision of the screen .

The new Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2MP Digital SLR Camera also features a wider 3 "230K pixels. The visual reading of this screen is sharp and clear and has a wide viewing angle. Battery life of this new model is incredible . After about 600 shots, the battery status display continues to show a full charge.
Features high as exposure compensation with flash and spot metering are generally more expensive exclusive range of models. Both features are now available on the Canon Digital Rebel XTi 12.2MP Digital SLR Rebel Camera offers great value for money. Other features available in this new model includes the image processor ISO Auto DIGIC III and EOS Integrated Cleaning System.

The Best Digital SLR Camera Review

It is one of the best new digital SLR rebel camera to take the road? It is worse? As the price of digital SLR rebel cameras were falling like crazy, stood out more than ever be able to better the worst. Do not assume that a low price shows a reflection of lower quality. Could be just the deal, you ever wanted. Review some worthy competitors in the ring of digital SLR rebel cameras.

It 'very difficult to control, digital SLR rebel , without the Canon Rebel XTi digital SLR camera. The XTi and its predecessor, the XT was a safe bet for those who make the transition to technology SLR. The seller has provided a very solid number of users makes the Canon Rebel for a better adaptation to the general aims of the SLR rebel camera ever.

With a current price of under $ 600 including objective of the kit is still very popular for sometime. The latest model of the Rebel XSi is part of the crown, which should be on shelves until mid-2008. He brings more megapixels, better understanding of the battery, larger LCD screen, Live View, and many other new features, the rebel of the program.

Digital SLR rebel cameras, there would not be complete without the inclusion of Nikon D40 digital SLR. Even a strong competition with the programming Canon Rebel. For those who have a purchase based solely on the Nikon brand, there is no reason to look beyond. The D40 is the perfect device for those who have made the jump from simple point-and the cameras of the world become more modern and versatile SLR. The D40 has many automatic settings and ignores the beginner is not SLR learning curve feel with many options for a good manual tight fit.

For the pleasure of you three is a crowd, I would be remiss without mentioning the Olympus E510 digital SLR. The little more than a couple of dollars, and perhaps not as good as our previous models cited, the E510 is a third option to consider ideal. Although some users have problems with the autofocus of the E-510 has, in low light conditions, if more than a manual rack, so that is not relevant. Be sure to get their hands on each of these cameras for a test and you'll understand why it is so popular.

Black Rebels XTi

Are you an experienced photographer with Canon Rebel XTi Black.

Black Rebel XTi offers an unbeatable combination of performance, usability and value.
