I know that the D60 takes decent enough, but a peak value (in the world of photography), most of the time, the camera later, the better. It aa330 is right is new, have never been all Sony cameras, but id imagine that, at least honest enough for every hobby-photographers.
D40 is better than that: P
With really bad, both D40 and D60
No built-in AF motor - a very bad this. Lots of good old lenses work habits, and while I prefer to use MF is often a lack of AF is still a major inconvenience for someone new to photography.
